In a time of need, you can count on Jason T. Glass.

When our furnace broke down and sprung a leak, Jason was ever ready and full of action! Within an hour he was at our home with 3 high powered fans and a de-humidifier! He dis- connected the furnace, thereby stopping additional water damage and immediately started removing water logged baseboards. He also scheduled repair and restoration services within 24 hours! Because Jason is so fast acting we avoided a water damage claim all for less then that of our deductible! Having your own independent broker has proven to be more useful than any old insurance company. We wish we had chosen this option a long time ago!

Jason T. Glass of Avendale Insurance was doing his usual hectic balancing act with home and work duties.

One particular day while driving his daughter to get her braces removed, his phone began to ring and a teary voice on the other end was asking for help.  It was one of his customers; Mrs. Spellman who was calling to say that her second floor washing machine had overflowed and water was everywhere. He called the orthodontist cancelled the appointment and immediately rushed to her house. Mr. Glass began hand drying, removing baseboards and then setting up the restoration equipment; Because Jason has his equipment at his Front Street Business District home he was able to get there before major damage occurred. Within forty-eight hours everything was dry, baseboards were replaced and painted, and their Thanksgiving was saved. 

Their total out of pocket expense was a hundred dollars for the baseboard replacement, which Jason contracted for the Spellman’s.  In a normal situation, for a minor flood there would have been a thousand dollar deductible and a water damage claim reported in a nation wide database that would stay with their home, and increase their premiums for years, and face a potential policy cancellation.  If they chose not to go through the insurance company it would have cost over $1500 just in equipment rental through a restoration company.

As much as I love to get referrals it brings me great joy to give them as well. A few months ago my husband & I decided to change insurance companies and went with a Broker that re-did our home and auto policies with Traveler's Insurance. We had been with our previous company for the past 20 years, to say the least I was nervous to make the change.

Today I came back to my home office to see that my back yard was completely flooded. We do not have a pool but with all the rain it was beginning to look as if we did. I contacted my Insurance Agent to see if we had coverage in case the rain did not stop and the water came into the house. He explained that it could be considered flood insurance and really no one in California buys flood insurance, but that he would need to see it for himself. We Californian's obviously are not used to this weather. I explained to him what I was seeing and expressed concern. He said "I am on my way" "I will bring my drainage snake and/or my industrial restoration equipment to personally check the drains, I will be there in thirty minutes." When he got to our house we noticed that the drainage was the problem and the current drains on the property were filled with mud and debris. Wearing slacks and designer shoes, I watched him stand in 3" of water, stick his hand up to the elbow into my drain to remove some compacted mud! He gave me some recommendations and inspected our entire back yard. We also noticed an area where water had come up through our wood floors, so he showed up again the next day personally bringing out his blowers to dry the area out.

Should there be a claim in the future he wanted to make sure there were no GRAY areas that the insurance company could possibly say was a maintenance issue. So i avoided a water damage claim and didn't spend a dime. I can not tell you the confidence I have in my Broker and this company to take care of anything I need even when it seems there is nothing that can be done. Before Jason, I would have called the company on the back cover of phone book and paid $2500 for emergency water damage. I guarantee my previous company/Agent wouldnt have even came to the house. I know you respect the fact that I will go to bat for you with all your Real Estate needs! If you are looking for an Insurance Agent that will do the same for your Insurance needs I can confidently recommend this company to you.

After switching from a national carrier to Avendale Insurance, we have had nothing but a great experience working with Jason. Shortly after we started our policy, we were faced with water damage due to a faulty toilet, which led to the entire downstairs of our flooring having to be replaced. This overflow occurred during the dinner hour (after business hours), and Jason responded to my phone call within one minute, was at my house within 3 minutes, helped us cope with the water cleanup, brought dehumidifiers to help dry out the house and made sure we were ok.
